Some things I wanted:
Iāve been into the dancing bears so I want things like the above hat and these shorts.
Universal Basic Income. Not for me specifically (although I would absolutely benefit from and take the cheque) but for my community and for society in general.
More workout shirts like this one. I used to be self-conscious in cropped shirts but now idgaf.
Trying to talk myself out of wanting platform Doc Martenās again this year (lmao who am I kidding those are a perfect present forā¦ whatever reason I come up with to justify buying them).
Some things I bought:
My galaxy Crocs arrived so that was exciting.
A tarot reading, and the Radiant Wise Spirit tarot deck to use at home, highly recommend!
So many groceries. It turns out feeding small children takes constant shopping and planning?? The good news is that overall everyone in our house is eating better. Itās just a lot of groceries and prep.
Some things Iām reading:
Phoebe Bridgers and Carmen Maria Machado in conversation in Playboy
The Fixed Stars by Molly Wizenberg
Lots of Mary Oliver poems, especially The Journey and Wild Geese (I love searching for poetry online because it shows up in so many different formats. People love to make websites with poems they like. This one jumped out at me because of the š¤ā¤ļøcolour scheme and the waterfall imagery).
Wow Iām sleepy, it must be the labour of existing in the universe. Please send fun things for me to look at and think about (reply/IG/comment below) š and thanks for reading for another week!
Fun (definition of fun my vary) thing: a map pal of mine shared this really fascinating paper he wrote on 'representing the presence of absence in cartography' and I've been thinking about it a LOT lately. Free link <a href="https://www.researchgate.net/publication/324017359_Representing_the_Presence_of_Absence_in_Cartography"</a> . I also enjoyed this history of <a href="https://www.seriouseats.com/2020/07/dippin-dots-history-mini-melts.html">Dippin' Dots</a>
